Episode 1 | From Adversity to Mission: Why In Service of Health Matters

The premiere episode of In Service of Health with PHAB President and CEO, Dr. Joneigh S. Khaldun,

Despite billions spent every year, health outcomes in the United States are falling short of what our communities deserve. Our health system too often operates in silos and is too fragmented, inefficient, and disconnected from what communities actually need to thrive.

That is why PHAB launched In Service of Health.

In the debut episode, Dr. Joneigh Khaldun shares her personal journey and recounts a harrowing medical experience after the birth of her first child that nearly cost her life, and the lessons she carries from that moment into her leadership today.

This premiere episode sets the tone for an impactful, and solution-driven podcast that will feature leaders across health care, public health, and beyond to discuss what’s working, what’s not, and how we can better align efforts across sectors.
